History & facts
Director Torben F. Thorsen established Uni-Safe Electronics a/s in 1993, when the Marine Department of Dansk Radio (Terma Elektronik) was taken over. All the agencies held by Dansk Radio - such as C. Plath, Koden, Jotron and the Salinometer programme were also transferred to Uni-Safe Electronics.
The company is based in Copenhagen close to the Airport and overlooking the Sound and the bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden.
The company has been appointed as a Gazelle company in year 2000. Only 970 Danish companies was given this title in year 2000. A Gazelle company is a dynamic company experiencing fast growth. In 2008 Uni-Safe Electronics was appointed as a Gazelle company once again.
Products
Uni-Safe Electronics has two main product lines:
1. Own production of high quality Salinometers & Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) BW-800
2. A wide range of electronic communication and safety equipment.
Uni-Safe Electronics manufactures and sells two types of Salinometers; SL6000 and the latest development SL6005. Both types are sold for both panel- and wall mounting. Old version SL3000 and SL3005 are no longer produced, but has been replaced by SL6000 and SL6005.
The salinometer systematically checks the salinity of freshwater coming from freshwater generators. The SL6000 and SL6005 are approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), an international approval, which implies that the Salinometer has been tested to prove that it complies with certain measurements. The Salinometers are sold to more than 36 countries all over the world from Germany and Greece to Japan, China and Singapore and Indonesia.
